The Modesto Mashers are group of veteran and neophyte homebrewers whose purpose is to promote the art and science of homebrewing. The club usually meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., at Barley & Wine, 1125 Lone Palm Avenue, Modesto. Be sure and check the Club Info page for specific information an any given month's meeting. The public is invited to attend our meetings and see if the Modesto Mashers might be a good fit as their homebrew club of choice.

The Modesto Mashers are committed to sponsoring beer-related events, increasing the awareness of homebrewing, and learing about the huge variety beer styles available today. Every monthly meeting is devoted to a certain BJCP style, and members are encouraged to bring commercial or homebrewed examples of the style for tastings. Members are also encouraged to bring samples of their current homebrew offerings. The meetings are a great forum for exchanging brewing ideas.

Membership in the Modesto Mashers carries certain responsibilities. The Modesto Mashers Homebrew Club intends to provide a fun, educational and safe atmosphere for its members during its sponsored events. This responsibility also falls upon each individual member. Since alcoholic beverages are a main ingredient at Modesto Mashers events, consumption in a responsible manner is mandatory for all members who choose to consume alcoholic beverages at Modesto Mashers events.
